SUSTAINABLE HOUSING
Community members need housing options. Vacancy rates are at historic lows — under 0.5%! Families and students are desperate for places to live and often need to live within walking distance.
Our local businesses and institutions depend on recruiting people into Hanover. Without housing options, our town loses out. Seniors need care providers. Employees need doctors. Business owners need staff. Young families need daycare providers.

With Dartmouth College as our town's largest employer, more and more, our teachers, professors, and librarians no longer live in Hanover. Graduate students report an acute need for housing within walking distance of campus. We must make it easier to build infill housing that serves a variety of needs and mitigates the housing crisis.
