WHO AM I?

Hello! I'm glad you're here.

My name is Jennie Chamberlain, and I teach at Dartmouth College in the Film & Media Department, coach Ford Sayre with the Nordic Adventure Program for 5th-8th graders, coach Hanover High School Crew, am a parent to two Hanover High students, am married to an Associate Dean of the Dartmouth Libraries, care for a pair of mismatched dogs and many frogs (or as we say in Hanover, "PEEPERS!"), and chair the Hanover Bike Walk committee.

Like so many in Hanover, my family and I cherish the river, the woods, the gardens, the paths, the schools, the fresh air, the small town community and of course, the people. We feel fortunate to live in a place where there are opportunities to connect and thrive.

Go Bears!

How we invest and communicate matters.

FROM ECONOMICS TO FILM & MEDIA

I studied Economics at Harvard and Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California. With the start of my career steeped in finance, I appreciate a dollar well-spent and the return a wise investment reaps.

Through my study and work in film and media, I gained respect for the stories around us, the art of communication, and the need for connection we all share.

Teaching at Dartmouth, I treasure the opportunity to mentor students, work alongside talented Film and Media Studies faculty, and collaborate on vital initiatives such as Our Green Future.

As a small business owner with my writing partner, I understand the ups and downs the world can throw at you — and the jarring impact of the pandemic.

As an advocate for mobility equity, indoor air quality, and the environment, I know how small changes can have rippling impacts on our collective health and well being, as well as on our sustainable future.

Representing Hanover on our Regional Planning Commission and serving as chair of our town's Hanover Bike Walk committee, I value the uniqueness of our town and regional context.

I'm a strong believer that our investments should reflect our priorities and that when we invest in what we value, everyone benefits. I'm a strong believer in bringing in diverse voices and that by encouraging participation through active engagement, we can create a more resilient, efficient, and sustainable town that works for everyone.

#HanoverForAll.
